Ms. Sylvia is a popular English teacher at SBRHS. Her classes include sophomore American Literature and AP Literature and Composition.

1.What is your favorite book that you have read?

That’s a tough one.  My favorite novel is Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, but I also have a favorite poem called “The Woman Who Dies in Her Sleep” by Linda Gregerson.

2.What is your favorite topic to teach?

My favorite topic to teach would have to be poetry.

3.If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

I would love to have claws like Wolverine to use on students’ work.

4.If your were not a teacher what would you be?

If I was not a teacher, I would still do something in a similar field like a writer or an editor.

5.Who is your celebrity crush?

Definitely Chris O’Dowd–he plays the cop in Bridesmaids.

6.What do you want to do when you retire?

I want to live in France or own a Zombie Apocalypse Farm.

7.What is your favorite past time?

My favorite past time is reading.
