This weekend six students piled into Principal Lanczyski’s car to make the trip to WGBH studios. The goal? Compete in the 6th annual Massachusetts Quiz Show to try and earn a spot in the competiton, televised mid next year. Seniors Alyssa Berube, Connor Cardoso, Thomas Costa, and Emma Luke were joined by juniors Emily Cabral and John Myron in this Sunday’s qualifiers. The night consisted of 100 questions that have to be answered in five seconds or less, seventy of which have to be done without conferencing with each other. Topics ranged from rivers of the world to famous quotes to chemical elements and even one about the popular Disney movie ‘Frozen.’ The team reports that being able to communicate with just a glance was vital, and advise next year’s team on learning some sort of secret sign language.

The team would like to make a special shout out to their coach, Principal Lanczyski, for a great time and a memorable experience and thank WGBH studios for hosting the event.
