As the new school year starts, the class of 2025 seniors have been excited to finally use their senior privileges. One of these senior privileges include the outdoor dining tables.
Just as many seniors thought they were going to be able to enjoy a peaceful lunch as they basked in the sunlight and hung out with their friends outside, they were greeted by bees.
These bees, although usually found near flowers and plants, have taken a sudden interest in the lunches of seniors sitting outside. Now found near poptarts, teriyaki chicken wings, waffles, and etc, these bees won’t hesitate to steal bites from the lunches of the seniors outside.
SB Staff have attempted to take action regarding this bee situation! Recent reports from the cafeteria staff have indicated that there weren’t any unfortunate students who have been stung by these mischievous insects. In order to help the bees find a better hangout spot, custodians are hard at work, trying to locate their nest. The cafeteria staff, in addition, are trying their best to warn students about these bees in order to prevent any allergic reactions.
Overall, although some seniors don’t mind the company of the bees, others have decided to enjoy our indoor dining experience for a while longer, until the bees depart for the winter.
