Brendan Mcdonald is a senior here at SBRHS who is also the captain of the football team. Brendan is a huge athlete as he has also been the captain of the basketball team since his sophomore year. In football, Brendan is number 14 and he is our quarterback and cornerback. Brendan is a great leader and I’m sure we will have an amazing football season. There is a home game on Friday September 20th, so be there or be there. As we are diving into this year’s football season, let’s hear what our captain has to say.
What is your favorite part about playing football?
My favorite part about playing football is just the friendships and being with people. In general just building relationships with others.
How many years have you played football for?
I have played football for four years.
Who is your favorite football player and favorite football team in the NFL?
My favorite football player is Justin Jefferson and my favorite team is the Patriots.
If you could describe your football experience using one word, what would it be and why?
Fun and I say this because of the football games and there are just memories that you can think back on that are fun.
What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who is a football beginner and someone who has never played before in order to help them in the sport?
Just stick with it and you’ll get better overtime. Everything takes time and with coaching things get easier.
Are you planning on playing football in college, if not do you plan on doing club football or anything related to football at all after high school?
I’m unsure about football because I also like basketball but I do want to play a sport in college.
