Hello students of SBRHS, I’m Tammy Chen, a junior this year, and last week I had a quick interview with the junior class president. Although it’s a little late, it’s better late than never to introduce the Junior Class President, Adrian Borges. Adrian Borges is elected president once again for the class of 2026. Some of his many traits include funny, cute, social, goof-ball, and very motivated. Some clubs he is involved in school are Envirothon, Science Olympiad, Student Advisory, and Volleyball club. After interviewing him I can say for certain that Adrian is very passionate about his leadership position and making changes in the school for the better. Adrian does have plans for rerunning next year so be on the lookout for that. Overall, congratulations for Adrian’s successful rerunning and I look forward to the changes he will bring this year.
Why did you plan to rerun this year?
I reran this year because I realized that no one was stepping up and running for President in our grade but also because I really enjoyed being part of the student council last year. Little things like turning the TVs and bubbler one and also having a say in school decisions like dress code.
Any school goals that you hope to achieve this year for the student council?
This year my goal is to beat seniors in case rally by recruiting more participants in our grade. I hope to be able to plan events specifically for juniors, like outside of school activities that are not too big but fun. This may prove challenging since not all the juniors have their driver’s license.
What are your plans after high school?
After high school I plan to attend WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) and major in Environmental Engineering and get a job in that field. “Go GOATS!”
Are there any plans for rerunning next year?
Yes, absolutely and hopefully if I do win, there will be opportunities to plan outside of school events like senior assassin, scavenger hunt, etc.
Any other information you would like to share?
Join the breeze with Ms. Copeland (if you want to)
