On Wednesday, November 27th, the traditional SBRHS Raider Rally took place in the gymnasium. During first period everyone got to watch the trailers that each of the grades put together. The trailers are a way to get you excited about what skits you are about to see. All the grades had great skits and each theme was super unique. First up, the Juniors performed their skit which was “Scooby doo” and it was very entertaining and well done. They even had Griffey who is Mr.Laurence’s dog in their skit which was nice. Next, the Freshman performed their skit “The Smurfs” which was really cool and I think they did very good for their first year. Then the Sophomores performed their skit called “Teen Beach” and it was amazing. They had a lot of people in their skit and it really showed the school spirit. Lastly, the seniors performed “Inside Out” and it was absolutely incredible. The humor was outstanding and the actors did a great job. Raider rally is always super fun and it really puts everyone in the mood. The school spirit was shown by all grades. When all the skits were done Mr.Francis and Mr.Young gave recognition to all the senior athletes and seniors in the music programs. Raider rally is definitely one of my favorite school events. To end the day the cheerleaders performed their routine which was fun to see. For the results, In penny pounds Freshman raised a total of $122 coming fourth place, the Sophomores raised $770 coming 3rd place, the Seniors raised $815.42 coming 2nd place, and the Juniors raised $1626 coming first place. All the money raised will be donated to food banks and other places. For the overall performance Seniors came first, Juniors came second, Sophomores came third, and Freshman came last. The rally was very enjoyable and I hope everyone shows up to support the football team for their Thanksgiving game against Central High School.
